A 12", 45 RPM, 180 gm vinyl offering of 4 songs not found on the CD nor LP. Featured artists include Don Dixon, Jack Cornell, Terry Anderson and Peter May. These songs are not outtakes but are performances fully the equal of those on the CD. The character of these four songs didn't fit the narrative arc of the CD, but there was no way we couldn't release them, so they got their own format. They are that good! And it should be noted that the Snacks cover art is by David Childers, who wrote "Ghostland," from the CD. 100% of proceeds from sales goes to provide initial mental-health treatment for uninsured musicians suffering from suicidal depression and/or addiction.
Be Good To Yourself - The Music is an initiative to raise much-needed awareness and funds to provide underinsured music industry professionals access to mental health care and substance abuse counseling services in times of crisis, when they need it most. Across North Carolina, music folks (musicians, sound engineers, stage staff, those in the business of supporting music) are struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and suicide.
North Carolina's music is a treasure. It enriches our lives and makes our state a better place to live. When we lose an artist, we not only lose their music, we lose a human being: someone’s son, daughter, father or mother, friend. Let’s not allow depression, mental illness, or substance abuse to stop the music. Let’s start helping our artists and those who support them in the profession to be good to themselves.
